As a Structural BIM Technician, you will play a crucial role in the construction and infrastructure sectors by advancing building information modeling (BIM) technologies. Your primary responsibility is to develop and manage digital 3D models of structures, ensuring they align with both client specifications and regulatory standards. By enabling enhanced visualization, structural analysis, and collaboration, you will support architects, engineers, and project managers in making informed decisions throughout the design and construction processes. Your expertise in utilizing BIM software tools and your attention to detail will ensure timely delivery of high-quality digital models that streamline project execution and bolster communication across diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed 3D models using relevant BIM software applications.
• Coordinate with project teams to gather requirements and update model specifications.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and codes while creating BIM models.
• Collaborate with engineers and architects to integrate structural designs into BIM workflows.
• Conduct model reviews to detect and resolve potential design conflicts efficiently.
• Prepare model-based reports, drawings, and documentation for project stakeholders.
• Participate in BIM coordination meetings to facilitate effective communication and problem-solving.
• Provide technical support and training to project teams regarding BIM processes and tools.
• Maintain model databases and ensure accurate version control for project models.
• Assist in the development of BIM execution plans and project workflow strategies.
• Liaise with external consultants and contractors to integrate their inputs into BIM models.
• Continuously improve BIM practices by keeping abreast of emerging technologies and methodologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field is preferred.
• Proven experience in BIM modeling, preferably in a structural engineering context.
• Proficiency in BIM software tools such as Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks.
• Strong understanding of building codes, standards, and construction methodologies.
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate and address design challenges.
• High attention to detail and commitment to delivering precise and accurate models.
