Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Design and analyze structural systems, ensuring they meet safety and performance standards while adhering to local codes and regulations.
- Collaborate with architects and other engineers to develop innovative and feasible design solutions that enhance project functionality.
- Conduct detailed calculations and modeling using advanced software tools to predict structural behavior under various load conditions.
- Prepare comprehensive technical reports and documentation to communicate design intent, methodologies, and compliance with standards.
- Review and revise design plans based on feedback from clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities to ensure project alignment.
- Oversee the construction process, providing technical guidance to ensure that structural components are installed according to specifications.
- Perform site inspections and assessments to evaluate existing structures and recommend necessary repairs or upgrades.
- Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and technologies to incorporate cutting-edge solutions into structural designs.
- Manage project budgets and timelines, ensuring that designs are completed efficiently and economically within set parameters.
- Mentor and support junior engineers, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages knowledge sharing and professional growth.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution, with a focus on structural analysis and design.
A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in structural design, with a proven track record of successful project execution.
Experience in working with design software such as AutoCAD, SAP2000, and ETABS, showcasing proficiency in modern engineering tools.
Strong knowledge of building codes, structural materials, and construction methods, ensuring designs meet all regulatory requirements.
Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and devise innovative engineering solutions under pressure.
Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly.
Team-oriented mindset, capable of collaborating with multidisciplinary teams while also demonstrating leadership qualities.
