Job DescriptionRole PurposeOur team based in our Abu Dhabi office helps our clients to plan their marine operations with full understanding of their assets capabilities when operating in the complex environment of the sea. You are structural engineer undertaking a variety of engineering analyses and reviews associated with structural design, subsea installation, Jack-Up analysis and marine warranty surveying. You will be able to project manage projects within your specialty and with guidance will prepare tenders and represent the company with attendances both onshore and offshore.Duties and Responsibilities:Global Maritime encourages everyone to adopt a self-directed approach towards their workload and prioritize their tasks according to their best judgment as well as per the instant (and ever-changing!) business needs, and conflicting deadlines.As such, the below job description is a guideline of what is expected from you on a regular basis:Provide Marine Warranty Surveyor Services in accordance with the roles and responsibilities described in the Joint Rig Committee Code of PracticeUndertake structural analysis and reviews of typical marine operations such as subsea operations, loadouts, transportation and installation of fixed platforms, pipelines and subsea structures, dry transport of floating vessels.Carry out jack-up engineering related to site-specific assessments, punch through assessments, seismic analysis, fatigue analysis and modifications and upgrade design projectsTo attend on site for approval of marine operations, vessel structural and suitability surveys and risk assessmentsTo write comprehensive and detailed reports, and document reviews.Liaise with clients to ensure timely delivery of project deliverables and customer satisfactionProvide advice to members of the team and internal and external clients Specific Skills, Knowledge and Experience requiredMEng / MSc in relevant degree subject or Bachelor degree with equivalent experienceAt least 3-5 years experience in offshore engineering, working towards CEngExcellent analytical skills, together with a working ability in a number of engineering analysis tools such as SACS, SESAM, USFOS, Offpipe, OrcaflexExcellent Microsoft Office skills Role CompetenciesAble to work independently and as part of a team in both office and site environmentsCommunicates effectively and professionally with internal and external stakeholdersEfficiently differentiates critical engineering paths to solve complex problemsApplies basic project management principles when managing small projectsConsiders commercial aspects when managing projects and in own roleHealth and Safety To uphold the Company s Health & Safety requirements with particular regard to agreed codes of practice and safe methods of working.QualityTo follow the group Business Management SystemEqualities To uphold and carry out the duties of the post with due regard to the Company s Equal Opportunities and Dignity at Work Policy .
