Position Overview
As a Structural Engineer, you will support the Resident Engineer in managing all bridge and viaduct-related activities across metro rail infrastructure. You will review shop drawings, supervise construction quality, manage inspectors, and maintain comprehensive records to support safe and timely project delivery.

What You ll Do

* Supervise construction of bridges, viaducts, and associated structural elements
* Provide daily site direction and technical input for contractors and inspectors
* Review structural design documents, material submittals, and method statements
* Ensure compliance with international and project-specific engineering standards
* Coordinate with the RE and stakeholders to resolve technical discrepancies
* Track construction progress and maintain project documentation, including as-built records
* Conduct inspections to monitor quality, safety, and conformance to structural specs
* Participate in regular site meetings with consultants, contractors, and local authorities
* Oversee safety implementation and ensure accurate weekly/monthly reporting
* Ensure readiness of completed bridge works for handover and authority approval

Candidate Requirements

* Bachelor s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from a recognized institution
* 10+ years of relevant experience in bridge construction supervision or design review
* Experience on metro rail or large-scale infrastructure projects with bridge components
* Strong understanding of reinforced concrete, structural steel, post-tensioning, and geotechnical interface
* Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, and project management software
* Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and technical reports
* Knowledge of AASHTO, BS, or Eurocode standards for bridges
* Strong organizational and communication skills
* Familiarity with local UAE authority processes and inspection protocols preferred
