Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed structural steel designs and drawings for a variety of construction projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to translate conceptual designs into accurate structural steel plans.
  • Perform structural analysis and calculations to ensure the integrity and safety of steel frameworks.
  • Prepare fabrication and erection drawings using CAD software and other design tools.
  • Review and interpret architectural and engineering drawings to identify project requirements and constraints.
  • Coordinate with fabrication and construction teams to resolve design-related issues and provide technical support during project execution.
  • Conduct site visits as needed to assess project progress and address any design modifications or challenges.
  • Ensure all designs adhere to relevant codes, regulations, and quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records of design changes, calculations, and approvals.
  • Participate in project meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of design processes and standards.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of proven experience in structural steel design within the construction or engineering industry.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (such as AutoCAD, Tekla Structures, or similar) for structural steel detailing.
  • Strong understanding of structural analysis and design principles for steel structures.
  • Familiarity with relevant building codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working in an office-based setting with occasional site visits.
  • Full-time, onsite availability required.
