o PhD in educational assessment, statistics, Mathematics, quantitative psychology,
educational measurement or a related area
o Mathematician or Statistician from previous Education Background
o Knowledge in the field of Computer Science or Psychology is preferred.
Knowledge and Experience:
o Solid knowledge in both Classical Test Theory, Item Response Theory and diagnostic
o Good Knowledge of international assessments (PISA, TIMSS and PIRLS) and method of
reporting and plausible value Scoring.
o Experience writing syntax/code for data manipulation and statistical analyses using Such
as SPSS, R or etc.
o Ability to summarize complex technical information and communicate it, verbally or in
writing, to a variety of audiences and clients.
o Ability to manipulate, clean, and maintain large, complex datasets
o Knowledgeable in computer?based test construction and development; Experience in
CAT program including ongoing monitoring of item pools, fine tuning content balancing
algorithms, and working with live and simulated data
o Knowledgeable in database and item?banking.
o Familiarity with research literature, participation in research studies.
o At least 5 years of experience conducting operational psychometrics for large scale
assessment programs, preferably including experience in K?12 educational testing
o Excellent understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms, such as k?NN,
Naive Bayes, SVM, Decision Forests, etc.
o Good applied statistics skills, such as distributions, statistical testing, regression, etc.
o Experience in data models and reporting packages
