Responsibilities and Duties:
Analyze test and item?level results using appropriate methods
Conducts item and test analysis, equating, and standard setting
Support in item bank design and analysis through working with content development to
ensure that item pools meet the needs of the program
Assess and Analyze Test Construction and design including mode of administration, test
specifications, and pretest strategy.
Assess examination services compliance with standards for security, validity, reliability,
fairness and defensibility
Conduct different Simulation methods.
Lead Team of analysts and Transferring Knowledge
Plans and conducts original research related to computer based testing and the field of
measurement theory
Help in putting Computerized Adaptive Test (CAT) in application
Work closely with the Content Development team, and other testing services staff
Performs various tasks as appropriate to ensure quality in tests
Identify and/or develop the way each test is scored.
Produce technical documentation related to item, test and program performance including
tables and figures
Work with the technology team to define technical specifications for Assessments software
Locate and define new process improvement opportunities

Desired Candidate Profile

Education level:
o PhD in educational assessment, statistics, Mathematics, quantitative psychology,
educational measurement or a related area
o Mathematician or Statistician from previous Education Background
o Knowledge in the field of Computer Science or Psychology is preferred.
Knowledge and Experience:
o Solid knowledge in both Classical Test Theory, Item Response Theory and diagnostic
classification modeling.
o Good Knowledge of international assessments (PISA, TIMSS and PIRLS) and method of
reporting and plausible value Scoring.
o Experience writing syntax/code for data manipulation and statistical analyses using Such
as SPSS, R or etc.
o Ability to summarize complex technical information and communicate it, verbally or in
writing, to a variety of audiences and clients.
o Ability to manipulate, clean, and maintain large, complex datasets
o Knowledgeable in computer?based test construction and development; Experience in
CAT program including ongoing monitoring of item pools, fine tuning content balancing
algorithms, and working with live and simulated data
o Knowledgeable in database and item?banking.
o Familiarity with research literature, participation in research studies.
o At least 5 years of experience conducting operational psychometrics for large scale
assessment programs, preferably including experience in K?12 educational testing
o Excellent understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms, such as k?NN,
Naive Bayes, SVM, Decision Forests, etc.
o Good applied statistics skills, such as distributions, statistical testing, regression, etc.
o Experience in data models and reporting packages
