Function and Scope

To supervise and facilitate cost effective production of all Chemicals Division products to include stock
management and quality control whilst adhering to all applicable legislative, safety and computer data
management procedures.

Responsibilities and Duties

The below statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by the
employee(s) in this job. They are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities and activities required of the position and the employee may be required to perform additional tasks within reason, at the request of their Supervisor or Manager.

• Receive Production requests from Production Chemist.
• Schedule activity and work to be completed and assign to the relevant supporting team members.
  Monitor and ensure tasks are completed correctly.
• Check finished goods stocks and maintain appropriate stock levels.
• Ensure production process is carried out according to procedures set by Production Chemist in line with
  IMS.
• Supervise production work as specified in the Product Quality Plan (PQP).
• Check raw materials making a note of expiry dates on PQP, ensuring earlier chemicals are used prior to
  new ones.
• Update Production Chemist on order completion.
• Supervise production packing and sample retention process
• Ensure all Raw Materials are sampled, retained and tested in line with Metito RM Quality Control Process
  and that records are maintained.
• Supervise the production operatives ensuring protective clothing is worn at all times and that other
  safety, quality and security standards are complied with.
• Direct and maintain cleanliness of the production area.
• Manage raw material safety stocks
• Manage receipt of raw materials.
• Manage racking of raw materials and finished goods.
• Generate Packing List generation and generate as required for Shipping Department.
• Request to adjust formulation or QC specification if required via production chemist
• Supervise the Production Team to ensure completion of duties in line with business needs
• To attend appraisals for all the Production team annually and work with Production Chemist to identify
  and progress agreed development plans
• Maintain Production records in line with Metito policy to include:
  
  • Production Register (Excel)
  • Raw Material Receipts (maintained)
• To identify continuous improvements and highlight to Production Chemist
• Quality, Health, Safety, Sustainability and Environment
• Quality, Health, Safety, Sustainability and Environment
• Responsible for reading and complying with Metito policies and procedures regarding QHSSE, Product
  Stewardship and all applicable local safety regulations.
• Committed to Metito s Quality Improvement Process.
• To close out any audit / ATAR actions identified to agreed timescales
• To carry out Tool Box coaching with the Production team as agreed with manager
• Maintain, implement, and improve the BU QHSSE Management System in line with Corporate QHSSE
  Policies, Objectives, Manuals and Procedures, integration with business operations and ISO Standard
  requirements (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001).
• Promote the QHSSE Culture to achieve best QHSSE performance that safeguards human health,
  operational safety, protection of the environment and resources, all while delivering world-class quality
  products and services.
• Report QHSSE risks and impacts, carry out assigned tasks and duties in accordance with QHSSE Standards
  and KPIs, and ensure their personal safety and of personnel under their authority at all times.

Minimum number of years experience

• 2 to 3 years experience in a similar production role expected
