Job Description
Purpose and Scope
Responsible for the effective production, execution and operational integrity of Trade Products with a strong focus on customer service quality. Supervises day-to-day activities for a team of individual
contributors. Supervises daily workflows and is accountable for delivery of work assigned to agreed service levels.
Key Responsibilities
1. Assists in manage the process and operations, ensuring compliance with defined procedures and guidelines, identify any problems and take corrective action in order to ensure a favorable audit report and high levels of customer service.
2. Supports the review processes, procedures and systems to ensure that opportunities for improvements are identified and implemented and changing customer needs are met.
3. Contributes in providing direction for the department, setting and communicating objectives which meet business requirements and managing performance to ensure that targets are met.
4. Contributes to the generation of income by ensuring customer-facing departments have a good understanding of products and sales opportunities and customer service levels are high.
5. Inspects applications, checks for contradictory clauses, special conditions, data accuracy and authenticity of attached documents ensuring compliance with Bank policies and regulations.
6. Ensures that applications have been correctly marked, checks and reviews drafts and ensure correctness,reviews amendment applications and confirm correctness and seek clarification from clients if required.
7. Ensures control plans of subordinates accurately reflect the parameters set. Ensures control plans are regularly updated.
8. Reviews data on the system ensuring accuracy and timely delivery. Ensures Nostro and reconciliation outstandings are regularly monitored and actioned Supervisor- Customer Trade Services Page 2 of 4 Operations
9. Ensures necessary action is initiated on overdue and expired transactions.
10. Generates and escalates periodic and requested reports ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
11. Maintains updated knowledge of rules, regulations and standards in the field and related matters of interest to the department.
12. Participates in the various cross-functional committees/teams for multiple purposes to achieve optimal cooperation and to assume seamless quality service.
13. Performs other duties in line with scope of work and as instructed by the direct manager.

Educational Degree
Bachelor of Business Administration or Bachelor of Science preferably in Business Management, Finance, Accounting or a related field.

Certified Documentary Credit Specialist (CDCS), Certified Specialists in Demand Guarantees (CSDG), Certificate in International Trade and Finance (CITF): Preferable
Computer Skills
Microsoft Office and Banking Software.
Language Skills

In-depth knowledge of domestic and international trade products of UCP rules including and not limited to (URC, URR, ISP and URDG) and trade products. Expertise in dealing with Foreign Trade related matters i.e. Export/Import, Remittance, Guarantee etc. with good
understanding of general banking products and services as well as having sound knowledge in using bank operating systems.
