Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership & Management:
    Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of electrical specialists and technicians.
    Assign tasks, create work schedules, and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
    Conduct daily toolbox talks to brief the team on project scope, safety procedures, and quality expectations.
    Conduct performance evaluations and provide training to enhance the team's skills.
  • Technical Execution & Quality Control:
    Oversee the diagnosis and repair of complex electrical faults in HV systems, generators, switchgear, control panels, and automation systems.
    Provide hands-on technical support for intricate electrical work, ensuring all procedures are followed meticulously.
    Ensure all electrical work is carried out in accordance with manufacturer specifications, classification society rules, and international standards.
    Conduct thorough quality checks and inspections of completed work to minimize reworks and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Safety & Compliance:
    Enforce strict adherence to all safety protocols and regulations for working with high-voltage equipment    , including lockout-tagout (LOTO) procedures.
    Conduct risk assessments for each job and implement appropriate control measures.
    Ensure the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Documentation & Reporting:
    Prepare detailed service and progress reports for management and clients, including technical findings and recommendations.
    Maintain accurate records of man-hours, materials used, and equipment status.
    Liaise with clients, project managers, and other departments to ensure smooth project execution and clear communication.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Education: A diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Experience:
    A minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in electrical work, with a proven track record in a supervisory role involving high-voltage systems.
    Direct experience in the marine, offshore, or power generation industries is a significant advantage.
  • Technical Skills:
    In-depth knowledge of high-voltage systems    , generators, switchgear, transformers, and PLC controls.
    Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and blueprints.
    Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
  • General Skills:
    Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
    Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
    Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
    Willingness to travel frequently for on-site projects.
