Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Receive job orders for service and repair jobs from Service Advisors and manage workshop loading effectively.
  • Provide detailed explanations and technical justifications for additional repairs with cost estimates and obtain customer approvals.
  • Resolve customer complaints proactively to ensure a positive ownership experience.
  • Raise material requisitions for approved additional parts and coordinate with Service Advisors on order status.
  • Ensure adequate vehicle inflow (service orders opened) to meet revenue targets.
  • Promote value-added services, including tyres, accessories, and maintenance packages.

Performance and Quality

  • Achieve set monthly targets for productive efficiency, workshop productivity, and revenue.
  • Monitor ongoing service orders (WIP) and ensure timely billing.
  • Maintain optimal vehicle turnaround time and achieve Fix It Right First Time (FIRFT) benchmarks.

People Management

  • Coach and train technicians to enhance skills and promote cross-functional capabilities.
  • Review daily and weekly performance of subordinates and provide constructive feedback.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, learning, and excellence in the workshop.

Process & Compliance

  • Ensure all workshop operations comply with company SOPs and standards.
  • Maintain adherence to safety, quality, and environmental policies as per ISO-QSE guidelines.
  • Identify areas for process improvement to drive efficiency and service quality.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications

Education & Technical Certifications: Diploma or Degree in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Deep understanding of dealership operations and after-sales service processes.
  • Highly organized, result-driven, and tactical in decision-making.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and customer-handling skills.

Experience

3 to 7 years of experience as a Workshop Supervisor within the Automobile Industry.
