Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies to optimize efficiency and reduce costs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Oversee inventory management, utilizing data analytics to forecast demand accurately and maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Manage relationships with suppliers and vendors, negotiating contracts and terms to enhance service levels and ensure quality materials.
  • Coordinate logistics and transportation activities, ensuring timely delivery of goods while minimizing shipping costs.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to resolve supply chain issues, fostering collaboration between departments to achieve operational excellence.
  • Analyze supply chain performance metrics, preparing reports and presentations to inform senior management of trends and areas for improvement.
  • Implement risk management strategies to identify potential disruptions in the supply chain and develop contingency plans.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards, maintaining quality assurance throughout the supply chain process.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, utilizing lean methodologies to enhance processes and eliminate waste.
  • Stay updated with the latest supply chain technologies and trends, advocating for the adoption of innovative solutions to improve efficiency.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • supply chain management, a bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field; a master's degree is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in FMCG and the food industry is mandatory.
  • 10+ years of experience in supply chain management, with a proven track record in logistics and procurement.
  • Certifications such as APICS CPIM, CSCP, or Six Sigma are highly desirable to validate expertise in supply chain practices.
  • Experience in the manufacturing or retail industry, demonstrating an understanding of sector-specific challenges and best practices.
  • Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in data analysis tools and software to drive decision-making.
  • Excellent negotiation skills, capable of securing favorable terms while maintaining positive supplier relationships.
  • Proficient in supply chain management software and ERP systems, ensuring efficient process management.
  • Exceptional leadership skills, able to inspire and guide teams toward achieving common objectives.
  • Adaptable and resilient, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
