Reports to Team Lead or Supervisor. Responsible to receive store, inventory, and issue Commercial and Class II, VIII, and Class IX products and compile stock records in the Build Partner Capacity (BPC) Warehouse in support of foreign military equipping missions. Operate Warehouse Management System (WMS) as pertains to daily operations. Operate Material Handling Equipment to move product as required.
MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES
Count and sort incoming material to verify nomenclature, quantity and NSN/Part Number of items being received.
Store material in bins, on pallets, on shelves, or in containers according to size and quantity.
Prepare orders for shipment of items in stock. Prepare periodic, special, or perpetual inventory of stock.
Compile reports on use of stock handling equipment, inventory counts, stock records and location changes.
May determine methods of storage, identification, and stock location, considering temperature, humidity, height and weight limits, turnover, floor loading capacities, and required space.
Move or transport material or supplies to other locations within the warehouse, using Pallet Jacks or Forklifts.
Assist in oversight in preparing short notice Fragmentary Orders when shipment orders change.
Responsible for Physical Security of Sensitive and Pilferable Items and ensure they are stored in accordance with all Army Regulations and local policy.
Maintain inventory and other stock records, using Automated system of record ie GCSS-Army, Databases and MAXIMO
Assists in facilitating training of OCN/FN staff, and enforcing warehouse procedures.
Advises the Supply Supervisor on deficiencies of processes and procedures that may affect productivity.
Performs other duties and assignments as required.
MATERIAL & EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED:
Desktop computer, printer, and other general office equipment. Material Handling Equipment (MHE) to include manual and self powered lifts.
Indoor and/or outdoor environment with very adverse and harsh conditions (i.e., hot, dry, dusty, desert environment with average temperatures of 30 degrees in the winter and 130 degrees in the summer months). Includes some industrial production environment conditions as well.
Must be physically capable of lifting 40 pounds a vertical distance of four feet and carrying
this weight a horizontal distance of 25 feet.
May be required to work an uncommon schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
Must be able to work extended hours and evenings, as mission requires.
Must have professional appearance
Required to observe all safety, security, fire, environmental, and health requirements for Warehouse Operations and outside environment.
Working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical or biological agents.
Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes but is not limited to. head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices.
