Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed site surveys, utilizing GPS, total stations, and other advanced surveying equipment to gather precise data for infrastructure projects.
  • Analyze survey data, prepare accurate maps, plans, and reports, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to integrate survey data into project designs and construction plans.
  • Perform quantity calculations and prepare detailed material takeoffs for earthworks, concrete, and other project elements.
  • Monitor construction progress, providing regular survey support to ensure adherence to design and alignment tolerances.
  • Manage and maintain surveying equipment, ensuring calibration, functionality, and proper storage.
  • Assist in resolving site-related issues, providing technical expertise and suggesting practical solutions.
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations on-site, promoting a safe working environment.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records of all survey activities, including field notes, calculations, and drawings.
  • Stay updated with the latest surveying techniques, technologies, and industry best practices.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • A Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Geomatics, or a related field is preferred to provide a solid foundation.
  • Relevant certifications in surveying software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation) are a plus.
  • Minimum of 3-10 years of experience in infrastructure projects, demonstrating practical application of surveying principles.
  • Proven experience in infrastructure projects such as Roads, Bridges, Railways, or Utilities, with experience in large-scale projects.
  • Strong proficiency in using GPS, total stations, and other survey equipment, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
  • Exceptional communication and teamwork abilities, enabling effective collaboration with diverse project teams.
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results under pressure.
