Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed site surveys, utilizing GPS, total stations, and other advanced surveying equipment to gather precise data for infrastructure projects.
- Analyze survey data, prepare accurate maps, plans, and reports, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to integrate survey data into project designs and construction plans.
- Perform quantity calculations and prepare detailed material takeoffs for earthworks, concrete, and other project elements.
- Monitor construction progress, providing regular survey support to ensure adherence to design and alignment tolerances.
- Manage and maintain surveying equipment, ensuring calibration, functionality, and proper storage.
- Assist in resolving site-related issues, providing technical expertise and suggesting practical solutions.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations on-site, promoting a safe working environment.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records of all survey activities, including field notes, calculations, and drawings.
- Stay updated with the latest surveying techniques, technologies, and industry best practices.
Desired Candidate Profile
- A Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Geomatics, or a related field is preferred to provide a solid foundation.
- Relevant certifications in surveying software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation) are a plus.
- Minimum of 3-10 years of experience in infrastructure projects, demonstrating practical application of surveying principles.
- Proven experience in infrastructure projects such as Roads, Bridges, Railways, or Utilities, with experience in large-scale projects.
- Strong proficiency in using GPS, total stations, and other survey equipment, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
- Exceptional communication and teamwork abilities, enabling effective collaboration with diverse project teams.
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results under pressure.
