Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Provide specialist advice and analysis on matters related to international and local environmental regulations, compliance and best practice. Monitor and analyse developments in environmental sustainability, including policy and regulations, to determine the impact on Emirates interests globally.
- Manage data collection for the Emirates Group Environmental Report and other reporting requirements, analyse the results in accordance with agreed methodologies, and prepare data for publication.
- Conduct comprehensive analytical research to develop business cases, presentations, reports and briefs.
- Contribute to the implementation of Emirates environmental management system.
- Manage agreed environmental projects, ensuring they are implemented within the defined timescales and budget. Work co-operatively with other areas of Emirates, the Emirates Group, and external parties to ensure activities are well co-ordinated. Monitor on-site execution of projects and present recommendations for environmental improvements or future development.
- Implement environmental communication plans internally and externally. This will involve preparing a range of written and visual communications materials in liaison with Corporate Communications, ensuring that the communications support Emirates? environmental policy, environmental sustainability framework, and public affairs positions.
- Identify, build and maintain productive internal and external relationships to support the achievement of business outcomes.
Desired Candidate Profile
To be considered for the role you must meet the below requirements:
- Bachelor s degree (12+3 or equivalent) with over 5 years of experience in Commercial/Sales roles.
- Bachelor's Degree in a subject related to environmental management, environmental science, sustainability, or engineering.
- Experience of working in environmental affairs or sustainability roles. Aviation sector experience would be an advantage, but not necessary.
- Technical and political understanding of local and global environmental issues.
- Knowledge of methodologies for greenhouse gas inventories and environmental/sustainability reporting.
- Experience in the implementation of environmental management systems, e.g. ISO 14001 or IEnvA.
- Ability to produce reports and both quantitative and qualitative research.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking and writing skills, including effective use of relevant software.
- Ability to analyse large volumes of data
- Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and stakeholder management skills

Provide specialist environmental sustainability advice to business units. Contribute to wider departmental activities, including preparation of internal and external communications, stakeholder engagement, advocacy activities, annual environmental reporting, and supporting regulatory compliance processes.
