My Sports Academy is seeking an enthusiastic and qualified Swimming Teacher to join our experienced aquatics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality swimming instruction during curriculum-based school lessons and after-school programs. This role requires a passionate individual with strong communication skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to inspire swimmers of all ages and abilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging and effective swimming lessons in line with the academy's curriculum and national/international aquatic standards.

• Teach students during school hours as part of their PE curriculum, ensuring progression, safety, and enjoyment.

• Lead structured afterschool swimming programs, catering to a range of ages and skill levels.

• Conduct regular assessments and maintain accurate progress records for each swimmer.

• Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment by adhering to all safety protocols and safeguarding policies.

• Communicate professionally with parents, teachers, and academy staff regarding student development and program updates.

• Participate in team meetings, ongoing training, and events as required.

Requirements

• Swim England Level 2 (or equivalent international swimming teaching qualification).

• Valid First Aid and CPR certification.

• Minimum 1 2 years of experience teaching swimming to children and/or school groups.

• Strong understanding of child development and progressive aquatic teaching methods.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• A passion for teaching and inspiring young swimmers in a supportive environment.

Desirable

• Lifeguard qualification (e.g. NPLQ)

• Experience working in international schools or multi-sport academies

• Knowledge of swim competition pathways or learn-to-swim staging frameworks
