Functions as the TACOPS (AMSO) Instructor under the direction of the Aviation Institute Training Division Manager. Responsible for performing duties as a TACOPS Instructor, as well as Aviation Mission Planning System training and evaluation of customer pilots in accordance with approved Saudi Arabian National Guard/Ministry of National Guard publications (AR s, TC s, etc.). Conducts academic instruction and hands-on performance training and evaluations to ensure crewmember proficiency and standardization of training. Responsible for maintaining Individual Gradebook Folders.
A. Duties/responsibilities:

The TACOPS instructor shall perform all above duties to include POI technical writing/course ware development and periodic revisions as necessary. Develop TACOPS Training Program in accordance with customer guidance.

Verify and confirm that all training publications are current and complete.

Prepare pilots through realistic mission training scenarios.

Responsible for providing direct interface and daily status reports as required between staff for training status, mission planning, and crewmember training status.

Able to perform duties in a culturally sensitive environment and maintain a professional approach, attitude, and appearance at all times.
B. Independence: Performs within the broad guidelines of duties and responsibilities with significant choice of methods. Authority to select and implement goals and objectives within the execution of duties and responsibilities.
C. Supervisory Responsibilities: Report directly to the AITD Division Manager. Supervise all assigned Instructors.

Desired Candidate Profile


A. Education Level: High school diploma required. Must have been previously qualified as a US Army AMSO (TACOPS) Officer (or equivalent).
B. Additional qualifications: Graduate of a course of instruction for IPs at an authorized Aviation Proponent School preferred. Course of instruction in Army AMSO (or equivalent) required.
C. Experience: Experience in mission (Attack, Observation, Utility, Multi-Mission) operations. Five (5) years as a Battalion/Brigade TACOPS Officer preferred, three (3) years as a Company/Battalion TACOPS Officer required. Former AMSO (TACOPS) instructor desired.
D. Specific knowledge, skill, and ability requirements: Knowledge of Army Aviation training concepts, administration, and logistics.
E. Demonstrated past performance and experience in leading an organizational staff to achieve organizational goals. Demonstrated past performance in the development of organizational plans, policies, and operational procedures. Ability to communicate both orally and written. Ability to effectively deal with people in the supervision of staff and team members. Ability to effectively communicate with the customer in a professional and courteous manner. Possesses a valid driver s license.
