Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Support the preparation of VAT returns, payments, necessary paperwork, and reports.
  • Offer support and guidance during audits along with preparation of relevant schedules.
  • Preparation of the FTA audit file for the group.
  • Vouch the vendor invoices and finding the shortcomings and communication with internal department / vendor to get the same corrected.
  • Evaluate VAT & Corporate Tax regulations and suggest policies that diminish the tax burden.
  • In-depth knowledge of UAE / GCC VAT & CT laws and bookkeeping processes.
  • Researching, analyzing and interpreting changing tax legislation in both inside UAE and in GCC.
  • Prepare and manage all documents in line with VAT regulations and other related activities.
  • Understanding Transfer Pricing and benchmarking policies as per CT Laws in UAE
  • Maintain controls by adhering to the accounting department’s policies and procedures and ensure Tax practices are following UAE financial reporting statutes, standards and financial reporting best practices.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or relevant field, preferably fully qualified CA or CA (Inter)
  • A minimum of 3-4 years’ experience as a tax accountant or similar role in middle east.
  • Strong attention to detail with good analytical skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
