Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Orchestrate daily bodyshop operations, ensuring smooth workflow and efficient resource allocation to minimize downtime.
  • Drive and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as repair cycle time, quality, and customer satisfaction, implementing corrective actions when needed.
  • Lead and mentor a team of technicians, providing technical guidance, training, and performance evaluations to foster skill development.
  • Oversee the accurate and timely completion of repair estimates, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to insurance guidelines.
  • Manage the bodyshop's budget, controlling costs and identifying opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
  • Maintain a safe and compliant work environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations, and promoting a culture of safety.
  • Coordinate with parts department, suppliers, and insurance companies to ensure efficient parts procurement and claim processing.
  • Conduct regular quality control checks, ensuring repairs meet manufacturer standards and exceed customer expectations.
  • Stay updated on the latest automotive repair technologies and techniques, and implement best practices within the bodyshop.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in automotive technology or a related field is a plus.
  • ASE certifications (e.g., collision repair, painting & refinishing) or equivalent industry qualifications are highly desirable.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in automotive body repair, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously, maintaining composure under pressure.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Solid understanding of bodyshop management software, estimating systems, and other relevant technologies.
  • Strong technical skills, including the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex repair issues.
