Leads the development, implementation and continuous improvement of process optimization-based activities in Process Control ( Sohar) areas for the Technical function (TSD) at Orpic, under Manager Process Optimization Services scope s; through (1) Leading the resolution of complex operational problems Process Control ( Sohar) (2) Coordinate team to ensure that Management process optimization Services meets Management strategy and performance goals, and (3) Leads the development, implementation and continuous improvement of process optimization-based activities in petrochemical areas to secure a competitive organization.
Team Leader Process Control (Sohar) position will act in accordance with Orpics Mission, Vision, Values & Strategies, as well as, policies, guidelines and international standards, supported by an IT Technology platform, HSE standards, Omani s government & other legal justification s, and best international practices in consonance with national objectives.
• Identify opportunities for Process Engineering Improvement.
• Investigates, develop/implement best practices in process optimization.
Contributes to achieve company s strategy as implemented by the Process Optimization Service Manager
• Provide technical leadership in Central Process Control ( Sohar) to support the TSD function in the development and sustaining of capabilities to meet business objectives and safety goals.
• Provides coaching and guidance to develop technical engineering strength within the company.
Knowledge & Experience:
• Minimum Qualifications for this position is a University degree in Chemical Engineering or similar.
• Minimal years of experience is 12 years in a similar role.
• Knowledge of :
• Refinery operations.
• Configuring P & ID loop monitoring software.
• Process simulation tools such as PRO II, Aspen / HySys.
• Risk Assessments, HAZOPS & Safety
• Demonstrated ability to provide engineering solutions/ recommendations.
• Demonstrated ability to cooperate with and influence peers.
• Demonstrated ability to listen and collaborate with others.
• Proficiency in M/S Office.
• High level Skills of Planning & Organizing, Communication & Customers Service.
• Ability to effectively juggle multiple high priority activities and deliver in a fast paced environment.
