Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Job Purpose:
To achieve the SF6 plant production targets according to Standards & specifications.
Key Accountabilities:
Daily Production targets and Efficiency targets - Weekly/Monthly KPI s
Accident reporting and preventive measures, PPE and H&S issues - Weekly/Monthly KPI s
Production efficiency and Factory efficiency - Weekly/Monthly KPI s
Team briefing and communication - Weekly/Monthly KPI s
5S and House Keeping in general - Weekly/Monthly KPI s
Job Context
The position is responsible to:
To meet the Final assembly production target of SF6 & LV Products
Responsible for managing and controlling of total Final assembly production and quality.
Productivity improvement on a continuous scale and weekly reporting of all production related KPIs like production efficiency and factory efficiency, OT, OTIF and FPY/process rejections.
Creating work environment to meet quality standards set by ISO 9000/14000/18000.
Allocation of workload to operators on daily basis
Scheduling the shift based on workload and material availability
BOM validation and error reporting to contracts/LTH Eng for corrective actions (ECR/ECN process)
Coordinate with Production Engineering dept. for optimized process flow, Lean manufacturing etc. on a continuous scale for cost cutting and waste reduction.
Total Quality system implementation by deploying correct manufacturing processes
Total cycle time (throughput time) reduction.
Responsible for approximately 50 operators (as of now). Man- Managements skills as an outstanding capability to keep the Workers motivated and committed in achieving high productivity and quality standards, always.
Provide training to workers on Product assembly and other technical aspects of product
Co-ordination with internal customers/suppliers like Fabrication/Stores/Quality to meet production targets on time.
Responsible for overall housekeeping
Ensuring that tools/fixtures/templates, measuring instruments etc. that are used are periodically calibrated as applicable
Cost reduction measures
Workstations and process flow lay out
Facilitate safe working environment for people and implement H&S guidelines and regulations to take active role in continuous improvement & cost cutting projects
Assembly problem solving & train the operators for multiple assemblies.
Regular inspection of critical internal assemblies, critical settings, Assembly and rework/repair.
Control & stock management of production consumables and WIP.
Follow the best industrial practices like 5S
Timely generate and circulate the reports related to line stoppage due to supplier issues during single piece flow assly
Strictly follow the single piece flow concept and ensure that this has been followed by all the operators all the time
Develop multiple skill development /training and update the training matrix
Analysis of rejection of material due to operator s error
Daily production update needs to be circulated to concerned
Qualifications, Experience & Skill
Diploma/ITI in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering / Bachelor of Technology in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
Job-Specific Skills:
Detailed knowledge about protection circuits, metering circuits, relay circuits, EFI, wiring diagram, wiring looms, terminals, lugs, crimping tools, Testing
Should be able to understand the BOM structure, BOM comparison, wiring diagram etc.
Should be able to understand and Experience of Manpower handling,
Knowledge of ISO, ERP & Health and safety
Desired Candidate Profile
Diploma/ITI in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering / Bachelor of Technology in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.

Minimum 5-8 years of experience in Electrical Switchgear industry in production.
