Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Gemini Technical Industries is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technical Engineer to join our engineering team at our manufacturing facility in KEZAD, Abu Dhabi.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare structural calculations using standard structural design software, ensuring safety, accuracy, and compliance with applicable building codes and standards.

  • Support architects and consultants in developing bespoke technical details using AutoCAD and BIM software.

  • Assist the Engineering Department and subcontractors in preparing technical submittals, including structural design packages, material submittals, RFIs, and related documentation for consultant and authority approvals.

  • Provide technical support to the Project Sales team during project execution and bidding stages.

  • Prepare engineering proposals, cost estimates, and detailed cost breakdowns based on project specifications.

  • Ensure all design assumptions used in drywall and ceiling systems comply with project requirements and relevant standards.

  • Maintain and update technical services databases, drawings, and engineering details for efficient project execution and future reference.

  • Coordinate with internal departments and external agencies to obtain third-party testing reports, certifications, and technical approvals.


Desired Candidate Profile

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within building materials, drywall, ceiling systems, or related industries.

  • Strong knowledge of structural design principles and engineering calculations.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and engineering-related software tools.

  • Hands-on experience with:

  • AutoCAD

  • BIM Software

  • STAAD Pro

  • SAP2000

  • ETABS

  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
