Roles & Responsibilities

As Technical Lead Architecture, you will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless translation of design intent into technically robust, code-compliant, and constructible solutions

You will work closely with design teams, project architects, consultants, and contractors to resolve complex technical challenges across all project stages, with a strong emphasis on Design Development, Construction Documentation, and Construction Administration.

Your expertise, leadership, and ability to coordinate complex design and technical requirements will contribute to the successful delivery of projects, client satisfaction, and the overall growth and reputation of the architectural firm.

  • Translate conceptual and schematic designs into comprehensive technical solutions.
  • Resolve complex technical issues and detailing across disciplines (architecture, structure, MEP, fa ade, etc.).
  • Collaborate with design leaders to maintain design integrity through construction
  • Lead and review technical packages during Design Development and Construction Documentation phases.
  • Ensure documentation complies with UAE building codes, international standards, and local authority requirements (Dubai Municipality, ADM, Trakhees, etc.).
  • Develop and standardize key detail libraries and templates.
  • Coordinate with consultants, engineers, and subcontractors to resolve cross-disciplinary clashes and integration challenges.
  • Provide technical leadership during construction, including responding to RFIs, reviewing shop drawings, and resolving site queries
  • Support project architects by mentoring team members on technical best practices.
  • Conduct regular drawing reviews for accuracy, constructability, and compliance.
  • Take a leadership role in the planning and management of architectural projects.
  • Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and project teams to define project objectives, scope, timelines, and budgets.
  • Develop project plans and monitor progress to ensure adherence to established goals and milestones.
  • Demonstrate deep technical knowledge and expertise in architectural design, building systems, materials, and construction methods.
  • Provide guidance and support to project teams on technical matters, including code compliance, structural considerations, sustainability practices, and building performance.
  • Coordinate and integrate design elements across multiple disciplines, such as structural, mechanical, electrical, and civil engineering, to ensure seamless collaboration and coordination.
  • Review and evaluate design proposals to identify technical risks, feasibility issues, and optimization opportunities.
  • Implement and maintain rigorous quality assurance processes to ensure design and documentation accuracy, compliance with building codes and regulations, and adherence to project specifications.
  • Conduct regular design reviews and inspections to identify and address potential technical issues or conflicts.
  • Lead and manage a team of architects, designers, and technical staff and foster a positive and inclusive team environment.
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and technical support to team members, promoting collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Delegate tasks effectively, monitor progress, and ensure timely delivery of project deliverables.
  • Identify and mitigate technical risks and challenges throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Proactively anticipate and address potential issues, making informed decisions to ensure project success.
  • Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to develop effective solutions to complex technical problems.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with external consultants, such as engineers, specialty contractors, and regulatory authorities.
  • Review and evaluate consultant deliverables for technical accuracy and compliance.
  • Facilitate effective communication and coordination among project stakeholders to ensure a smooth project workflow.

Desired Candidate Profile

Experience & Qualifications

The minimum qualifications for this role are:

  • A bachelor s degree in architecture.
  • At least 12 years of experience in a similar role
  • Extensive experience in project management within the architecture and design industry, managing large-scale projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience in budgeting and financial management.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or other similar tools is essential.
  • Ability to create innovative, functional, and aesthetically pleasing designs that meet client needs.
  • Excellent understanding with architectural drafting and documentation standards.
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and construction processes.
