Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Oversee all construction material testing and special testing activities, ensuring adherence to project specifications and relevant standards.
  • Manage and mentor a team of technicians and engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures, ensuring accurate and reliable test results.
  • Review and approve testing reports, providing expert analysis and interpretation of data.
  • Liaise with project managers, contractors, and clients to address technical issues and provide solutions.
  • Manage the calibration and maintenance of testing equipment, ensuring optimal performance and accuracy.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices, new technologies, and evolving regulations related to construction materials.
  • Prepare and manage budgets for testing activities, controlling costs and ensuring efficient resource allocation.
  • Conduct site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with testing protocols and safety regulations.
  • Lead investigations into material failures or performance issues, providing recommendations for corrective actions.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
  • Holds a minimum of 8 years of experience in construction materials testing and quality control.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in various testing methods, including concrete, asphalt, soil, and aggregate testing.
  • Exhibits a strong understanding of relevant industry standards, such as ASTM, AASHTO, and local regulations.
  • Shows proven leadership and management skills, with experience in leading and mentoring technical teams.
  • Has experience working on large-scale construction projects, with a preference for candidates with international experience.
