Technical Manager - Structural Design Engineering Kingston Holdings FZC

Key Requirements:

1. Minimum 5 years of experience in Steel Building Design.
2. Ability to review design and drawings of steel subcontractors.
3. Technical evaluation of proposals for steel subcontractors, fire coating of structural steel, cladding, etc.
4. Review design and drawings of concrete structures prepared by third parties.
5. Handle submissions and follow-up for approvals from authorities (DM, Trakhees, DDA, DACC, etc.).
6. Arrange meetings with authorities, consultants, and steel subcontractors for technical clarifications.
7. Follow up with engineers at every stage of design approvals.
8. Review Compliance Resolution Sheets (CRS) for authority comments.
9. Extract equipment load information and suggest optimum locations.
10. Prepare BOQ for structural steel, reinforced steel, and concrete.
11. Assist draftsmen in preparing shop drawings/details.
12. Issue “Issued for Construction Drawings” and amend as necessary in coordination with project teams.
13. Develop steel design and drawings using licensed software (StaadPro, IdeaStatica, MBS, etc.).
14. Develop concrete design and drawings using licensed software (ETABS, SAFE, Prokon, Excel calculations, etc.).
15. Advise and review bar bending schedules.
16. Optimize steel and concrete structural designs.
17. Prepare design reports (calculations, loads, stresses, etc.) for consultant and authority submissions.
18. Select construction materials based on design.
19. Provide technical advice to the project team.
20. Prepare structural steel and concrete drawings, calculations, and BOQs for tendering.
21. Estimate steel tonnage based on design calculations.
