Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure safe and efficient daily marine operations of assigned DSVs, including navigational safety, mooring, DP (Dynamic Positioning), and deck operations.
  • Conduct regular vessel visits, inspections, and audits (ISM, ISPS, MARPOL, MLC) to ensure regulatory and company standard compliance.
  • Provide operational support to Masters and offshore teams, ensuring readiness for subsea and diving activities.
  • Oversee DP system performance, drills, and compliance with IMCA and client requirements.
  • Support incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective actions.
  • Participate in risk assessments, toolbox talks, and pre-mob briefings for marine-related operations.
  • Coordinate with technical, crewing, and HSEQ departments for seamless operational support.
  • Liaise with clients, port authorities, classification societies, and regulatory bodies as required.
  • Keep abreast of evolving regulations and industry best practices related to offshore and diving support operations.

Requirements:

  • Master Mariner CoC (Class 1) or equivalent with sailing experience on offshore support vessels, preferably DSVs or DP vessels.
  • Prior shore-based experience as a Marine Superintendent or similar role within offshore/marine operations.
  • Strong knowledge of DP operations, IMCA standards, and subsea project requirements.
  • Familiarity with ISM/ISPS/MLC codes, marine safety systems, and emergency response planning.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to travel for vessel visits and offshore support as needed.
