Position Description:
We are seeking a technical writer to join the communication team within our Technical Support Group (TSG), within Technology Oversight & Coordination (TOC).
The TSG provides expert support and shared services to Saudi Aramco s research, technology development and innovation. The group provides analytical support and management of the Planning, Contracts, HR, Knowledge Management, Safety, and Communications functions.
Your primary role is to provide specialist knowledge and skills for the creation of content within the technology domains of the Company s operations.
You will be a key enabler in supporting our Research and Development Center (R&DC) to fulfill its mission of creating value for Saudi Aramco by enabling more effective communication with its vast stakeholders. You will be responsible for developing and communicating technology messages across various channels (in digital, social and print) for the downstream and strategic research domains. You will be integral to the development of quality and skilled content, which can help promote the R&DC image as a global leading research center in the oil and gas area.
You will need to analyze detailed and technical information, strategies, programs, and technologies, and provide accurate and impactful material, which can be disseminated across the entire Company.

Desired Candidate Profile

Minimum Requirements:
As the successful candidate you will hold a bachelor s degree in communications, public relations,
marketing, journalism, or a related field, from a recognized university.
You will have at least 10 years of experience in public relations, journalism, press or related fields, with a substantial amount in global locations.
Duties & Responsibilities:
You will be required to perform the following:
Prepare technology content on all the existing and upcoming research programs, and the technologies within them, for use in the Company s communications channels, the department s reports and strategies, or for delivery by the manager, chief technologist, and other key personnel throughout the TOC.
Formulate technical responses, in conjunction with the communications function, in any necessary engagement with our external stakeholders, such as partners, analysts, consumers, and the general public.
Write and edit material for publication in the department s annual, bi-annual, quarterly, and monthly reports, committees, dialogues, and forums.
Develop and prepare special reports and proposals for presentation by the manager or chief technologists, and for use at meetings with shareholder representatives.
Investigate, and seek to implement new writing and content generation techniques and potential programs, for their possible application and use by R&DC, and its research domains.
Advise and counsel division heads and other key personnel on how to generate strategic and impactful plans, programs, and operations, and is available to them as required.
Proofread reports, abstracts, patents and other technical and scientific proofs in detail
Produce high quality content for multiple communication channels and audiences (i.e., R&DC publications, speeches, scripts, marketing, web, and social media platforms).
Create, assimilate, and convey complex technical concepts/material in a concise and effective manner to multiple audiences.
Communicate with scientists and division leaders to become familiar with business strategies and research projects, to ensure alignment within the department and administrative area, as well as with Saudi Aramco s business goals, when communicating to various audiences and/or stakeholders.
