  1. JOB PURPOSE:
  To carry out Preventive / Predictive / Breakdown maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities for the plant-wide range of air conditioning equipment, ensuring efficient operation and minimizing production downtime.

  2. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Receives and monitors job requests; attends equipment breakdowns and planned maintenance work with minimum direction and supervision.

  • Technically assesses the requirements of allocated jobs and selects the necessary tools and equipment to complete the assigned tasks.

  • Uses the computerized maintenance system to place orders for necessary spare parts from the warehouse and updates records once all maintenance work is completed.

  • Ensures all maintenance work is carried out in accordance with safety procedures and plant operational requirements.

  • Monitors repetitive breakdowns and implements appropriate modifications to resolve issues through RCA.

  • Provides on-the-job training and coaches new craftsmen to equip them with the necessary skills to carry out maintenance and repair work as planned.

  3. QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  Minimum Qualifications:

  • Diploma / Technical High School or equivalent in a relevant Engineering discipline.

  Minimum Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in HVAC.

  Skills:

  • Knowledge and experience gained through previous work in the aluminum industry or an equivalent heavy industrial plant, with preferred exposure to AC electrical environments, installations, and repairs associated with building and industrial production services.
