Roles & Responsibilities

About POWERTECHPOWERTECH is a center of excellence for propulsion technologies, specializing in the design, engineering, and manufacturing of combustion engines, expendable turbojet engines, and turbofan engines for a wide range of aerospace, defence, and autonomous applications, including fixed- and rotary-wing UAVs and other advanced platforms.Role Purpose: To support the engineering team by assembling, testing, and troubleshooting electronic circuits and prototypes. The role provides hands-on assistance in hardware development and basic data acquisition support.Key AccountabilitiesLead Rig Operations:Assemble and solder components on veroboards and copper PCBs based on provided schematics.Assist in the development, testing, and troubleshooting of electronic circuits and systems.Support engineers in hardware prototyping, integration, and debugging.Conduct basic electrical measurements using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other lab instruments.Maintain organized documentation of circuit diagrams, component inventories, and test results.Adhere to standard safety and quality procedures when working with electrical components.(Bonus) Support LabVIEW setup and data acquisition tasks if experienced.Safety and Compliance:Uphold strict adherence to safety protocols during all testing activities.Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and internal safety policies.Documentation and Reporting:Accurately document all test data, findings, and outcomes in appropriate logs or systems.Provide clear, timely updates and reports to senior engineering staff on progress and identified issues.Continuous Improvement:Identify and propose improvements to test procedures, tools, or workflows to increase efficiency and reliability.RequirementsDiploma or certification in Electrical/Electronic Technology or a related field.Proven experience in a workshop or manufacturing environment.Basic knowledge of electronic components, circuit assembly, and soldering techniques.Experience with veroboard and copper PCB prototyping.Ability to read and understand basic circuit schematics.(Bonus) Exposure to LabVIEW or other data acquisition tools.Good manual dexterity and attention to detail.Strong communication and teamwork skills.CompetenciesBehavioral Competencies: Analytical Thinking - Advanced Strategic Thinking - AdvancedDecision Making - AdvancedCreativity and Innovation - ExpertFunctional Competencies:Technical Research - AdvancedProject Management and Engineering - AdvancedProduct Development - AdvancedKnowledge of Latest Technologies - Advanced#POWERTECH
