Technician Material Lab

Core Accountabilities

• Prepare the samples and perform the day-to-day tests that are carried out in the material lab.
• Interpret micro-structure test results and compile and maintain reports, and ensure that products conform to specification and meets customer s expectations.
• Compile related Work Instructions and similar documentation required for IMS.
• Actively participate in EHS initiatives and other safety related teams in the Lab.
• Learn more advanced Metallurgical Laboratory tasks under supervision until formally qualified.
• Maintain Quality Systems in the laboratory and assists in writing Procedures as requested.
• Maintain sample preparation equipment, testing equipment, and cleanliness of the areas.
• Execute all assigned tasks in full compliance to health, Safety & Environment (HSE) policies, established processes, rules, and SOP's .
  
  

Experience & Educational Qualifications

• Diploma in Metallurgical Engineering or relevant qualification is required.
• 3 years of experience in metallurgical testing.
  
  

Key Skills

• Ability to perform materials evaluation, including (but not limited to) metallurgical examination, chemical analysis, and mechanical testing.
• Familiar with different engineering materials and its properties.
• Familiar with different types of heat treatment and its properties.
