Roles & Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities
Financials
- Achieve set targets for sold hours, efficiency, productivity, and overall utilisation.
Strategic Implementation
- Receive repair orders from the Team Leader and clearly understand the scope of work to be performed.
- Carry out PMS and general repairs as per the defined scope using diagnostic tools and standard service procedures.
- Record additional repair requirements and recommendations using the E-Estimate digital application and update the Team Leader accordingly.
- Demonstrate strong manual dexterity, technical, mechanical, and advanced computer skills.
- Take ownership of all aspects of the role, working independently with minimal supervision and demonstrating effective self-management.
- Read and interpret complex documents, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, repair manuals, and wiring diagrams.
- Follow quality control inspection processes to prevent or rectify workmanship that falls below required standards.
- Maintain a clean work area and ensure personal and workshop tools are kept in good condition.
Customer Journey
- Ensure full compliance with F1 standards and established guidelines.
- Handle customer vehicles with the utmost care and in a safe manner.
Learning & Growth
- Participate in Training Needs Assessments conducted by the Training Academy.
- Continuously develop technical skills through automotive training programmes.
Policies, Procedures, and Corporate Governance
- Perform only authorised repairs as agreed and inform the Team Leader of any additional observations or recommendations.
- For warranty repairs, strictly follow SOPs and guidelines, tag replaced parts with warranty labels, and hand them over to the centralised warranty store.
- Ensure compliance with automotive standards and process guidelines.
- Strictly follow HSE protocols and SOP requirements, including the correct use of safety gear for personal safety, equipment protection, and customer vehicle safety.
Desired Candidate Profile
Educational Qualification
- 2-year ITI (NCVT Certificate), or
- 3-year Diploma in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
Work Experience
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an automotive dealership, including at least 2 years in a Technician role.
Competencies
- Strong technical and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to work independently with attention to quality and safety standards.
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Computer literacy.
Languages
- English (working proficiency preferred).
