Key tasks
The Telecommunications Attendant s overall responsibility is for the professional and courteous handling of the switchboard for all internal & external telephone calls, and providing extended support to the Front Office manager on duty as and when required.
Operates the switchboard, handling each call internal and external, with best-in-class customer service at all times.
Facilitates each customer query, by either communicating the requested knowledge effectively, or by redirecting the call to the relevant department efficiently.
Ensures callers are greeted by name as per Rixos Standards.
Maintains current knowledge of the hotel and it s localities in terms of facilities, amenities and events etc.
Utilizes the Fidelio guest profile system to gain customer knowledge.
Processes management's long distance call vouchers and records them on the traffic sheet.
Updates and monitors the guest wake-up call sheet, executing requests accordingly.
Ensures the proper operation of the switchboard.
Records messages for guests and management as required.
