Preferred candidate profile:
We are currently looking for a Telephone Operator - Arabic Speaker, to join our team. Preferable with previous experiences minimum of 1 year in the relevant field is preferred. Front office background with Opera knowledge will be to an advantage. Selected candidate must demonstrate professional attitude, approachable and be able to work with a flexible schedule. You must deal in a polite and sophisticated manner and have a Good understanding of customer service and good command of English both spoken and written.
Main Duties:
1. To provide courteous, professional, efficient and flexible service at all times, following Roda Standards of Performance.
2. To be entirely flexible and be able to be rotated within the different sub departments of the Rooms Division or any other Department of the hotel as assigned.
3. To perform all duties and tasks when rotated or assigned to another Department as per Master Task List for that Department.
4. To be fully conversant with all services and facilities offered by the hotel.
5. To have a complete understanding and knowledge in regards to hotel facilities ,F & B outlets and current promotions on going in the hotel
6. To handle guest enquiries in a courteous and efficient manner and report guest complaints or problems to supervisors if no immediate solution can be found and assure follow up with guests.
7. Complete knowledge of emergency procedures and know what to do
8. To be able to update hotel information and local services, including operating hours, promotions, events, attractions and any allied information are updated in Opera PMS
9. To be able to get requests for wake-up calls are it should be executed at the time requested
10. Actively elicits guest feedback and preferences, regarding hotel services and ensures action is initiated on the same to maximize guest satisfaction.
11. Has Apprehensive knowledge of modern office procedures and methods including telephone communications, office systems and record keeping
12. Receives guest calls in a professional and friendly manner, ensuring guest expectations are always exceeded. Provides helpful, friendly and prompt personalized telephone service to all guests (external and internal)
13. Ensures the correct operation of the switchboard to allow fast and efficient transferring of internal / external calls
14. Takes guest messages and enters into voicemail & computer system accurately
15. Ensures familiarity with the names of division and department heads and their office extension numbers
16. Fully conversant with all emergency procedures of the hotel
17. To be able to Processes charging of house phone calls and any other calls made through operator assistance
18. Give accurate direction and necessary information on how to reach the hotel
1. To understand and strictly adhere to the Rules & Regulations established in the Employees Handbook and the Hotel s policy on Fire, Hygiene, Health and Safety.
2. To report for duty punctually wearing the correct uniform and name tag at all times.
3. To maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times.
4. To maintain a good rapport and working relationship with staff in the place of work and all other departments.
5. To attend and contribute to all staff meetings Departmental and Hotel trainings scheduled and other related activities.
6. To fully support the Departmental Trainers function in the Department assigned.
7. To undertake any reasonable tasks and secondary duties as assigned by the Assistant Manager.
8. To respond to any changes in the place of work as dictated by the hotel.
9. To project at all times a positive and motivated attitude and exercise self-control.
10. To have a complete understanding of the Income Audit Section in the Operations Manual and Policies & Procedures.
11. Attend OFF and ON the Job Training in relation to work related area.
