Job Description

As a Teller, you will be the first point of contact for our valued customers, providing exceptional service and support in all their banking needs. Your role is essential in ensuring efficient and accurate delivery of various banking services, including processing transactions, managing accounts, and assisting with customer inquiries. Responsibilities
  • Process daily customer transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and payments, with accuracy.
  • Assist customers by providing information and answering questions related to their bank accounts.
  • Maintain and balance the cash drawer throughout the day, correcting any discrepancies as needed.
  • Identify customer financial needs and make appropriate product suggestions, cross-selling bank services.
  • Handle and resolve customer complaints efficiently, following bank policies and procedures.
  • Monitor for counterfeit currency and prevent potential fraud by conducting thorough verifications.
  • Comply with all bank regulations and ensure confidentiality of customer information.
  • Prepare daily transaction reports for review by the branch manager at the end of the day.
  • Utilize the bank s software systems effectively to update and manage customer records.
  • Support the branch in achieving sales targets by providing top-tier customer service.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming teller station for customer interactions.
  • Participate in training sessions to stay updated with banking regulations and new procedures.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in banking or finance.
  • Strong mathematical skills and the ability to perform basic financial calculations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for customer interactions.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage workload efficiently.
  • Ability to handle cash responsibly and follow security procedures diligently.
  • Proficiency in using banking software and Microsoft Office suite.
