Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage the activities of the protection and testing team as per the Protection Engineer Guidelines.
- Implement schedules for testing and maintenance of protection systems.
- Oversee the testing of protection relays and all electrical equipment.
- Ensure routine and preventive maintenance is performed according to established procedures.
- Analyse test results and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Ensure all protection and testing activities comply with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct safety inspections and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, providing a solid foundation in power systems.
- Demonstrates a minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in the power industry, with a focus on protection and testing.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in additional languages is a plus, enhancing communication capabilities.
- Exhibits strong communication and interpersonal skills, facilitating effective collaboration within a team.
- Demonstrates excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of diagnosing and resolving complex issues.
