Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of tower cranes, identifying potential hazards and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and manufacturer specifications.
- Oversee the erection, dismantling, and modification of tower cranes, coordinating with site teams to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Perform load testing and certification of tower cranes, verifying their structural integrity and operational capacity.
- Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance schedules, minimizing downtime and extending the lifespan of tower crane equipment.
- Troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, providing timely solutions to keep cranes operational.
- Analyze crane performance data to identify areas for improvement and optimize operational efficiency.
- Provide technical guidance and training to crane operators and maintenance personnel, promoting safe work practices.
- Prepare detailed reports on inspections, maintenance activities, and incidents, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
- Stay current with industry best practices, regulations, and technological advancements related to tower crane operations.
- Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of tower crane operations with overall project plans.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
- Holds a professional engineering license (PE) or equivalent certification recognized in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Certified by a recognized crane inspection and/or rigging certification body (e.g., NCCCO, LEEA).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in tower crane engineering, with a focus on inspection, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Demonstrates experience in the construction industry, with a strong understanding of site operations and safety protocols.
- Demonstrates proficiency in English; additional language skills are beneficial.
- Exhibits strong technical skills, including proficiency in CAD software, structural analysis, and electrical schematics.
