Roles & Responsibilities

Design Review and Technical Oversight:

  • Review and provide assurance on track design submissions, including alignment, geometry, turnout designs, ballast and slab track systems.

  • Verify compliance with project requirements, technical standards, and international rail design codes.

  • Ensure track design integration with civil structures, signaling, traction power, and depot systems.

  • Assess constructability, maintainability, and lifecycle performance of track designs.

Interface and Integration Management:

  • Coordinate with civil, systems, and rolling stock teams to ensure seamless interface and design integration.

  • Review contractor design proposals and provide technical guidance to resolve interface issues.

Quality Assurance and Compliance:

  • Ensure track designs comply with safety, regulatory, and environmental requirements.

  • Review design risk assessments, mitigation plans, and lifecycle performance analyses.

  • Participate in technical workshops, design review meetings, and peer reviews.

Contractor and Stakeholder Coordination:

  • Review technical documentation, drawings, and calculations submitted by contractors.

  • Act as the track design subject matter expert (SME) for PMC oversight activities.

  • Provide recommendations for improvements and issue resolution to ensure quality and compliance.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain detailed records of design reviews, comments, and approvals.

  • Prepare reports, dashboards, and recommendations for senior management and the Client.

Desired Candidate Profile

Bachelor s Degree in Civil or Railway Engineering (Master s preferred).

Minimum 15 years of professional experience in track design for rail or metro projects.

Expertise in ballasted and ballastless track systems, turnouts, crossovers, and track geometry.

Strong knowledge of international track design standards

Proven experience in coordinating interfaces between track, civil, signaling, and systems packages.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Proficiency in AutoCAD, Bentley Rail Track, or other track design and review software.
