Ensure that all LATC related trade training activities are planned and executed safely, within budget and according to schedule and in- line with agreed policies and procedures.
Ensure that all trade related training, assessment and qualification and records, especially but not limited to scaffolding, coating and E&I is completed and maintained as per agreed standards.
Oversee and be accountable for the management and development of all trade training, assessment and competence assurance activities in-line with industry best practice and other agreed standards
Primary Responsibilities, Authorities & Accountabilities:
Liaise with LATC Manager, Project Supervisor / Foremen and other applicable stakeholders as to trade training requirements and implement these requirements to the agreed standard.
Ensure that the Health, Safety, Environment and Security (HSES) standards are implemented in all training and assessment activities.
Assist with the day to day management of supporting yard activities related to LATC trade training, including but not limited to, material quotas, fabrication works, waste management, yard layout, and transport and warehouse functions.
Direct responsibility for all trade training, assessment and qualification activities to agreed standards, including documentation maintenance of the same.
Lead the development and implementation of training module revision and update, to best industry best-practice standards for scaffolding, coating, E&I and mechanical trades.
Help ensure that the LATC is properly equipped and resourced for the intended functions, workloads and responsibilities to meet the agreed standard of trade training, assessment and certification.
Assist with HSES emergency exercises and situations as designated.
Conduct inspections of the LATC and other training and assessment areas as appropriate.
Liaise with HR Yard Manager for recruitment / assessment of all trades local and overseas and assist with recruitment where required.
In conjunction with LATC Manager, ensure that all aspects of trade training in the department are executed as per company standards.
Ensure that all training activities are properly documented and that the plans and responsibilities are communicated, understood and executed by the LATC trade instructors.
Ensure that training resources are effectively and efficiently utilized in accordance with the schedule and budget.
Update LATC Manager and other interested parties on training/assessment schedules, progress and data as required and report any deviations from established and accepted operating standards.
Assist with the overall management and delivery of company training operations, including covering for the LATC manager during leave absences.
Seek and suggest ways to improve company training efforts, including development and revision of training modules.
Assist with compilation and monitoring of LATC related expenditure and budget management
Development and implementation of new / updated trade training modules in-line with annual plans
Development and implementation of trade competency assurance processes in-line with annual plan
