Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
We are seeking a qualified Traffic Engineer to join our team in Abu Dhabi. The candidate will be responsible for managing all traffic-related activities, including obtaining approvals from relevant authorities and ensuring on-site implementation aligns with approved traffic management plans and drawings.
- Prepare, review, and submit traffic management plans (TMPs) in accordance with Abu Dhabi Traffic Management Manual (TMM) and other relevant authority requirements.
- Liaise and coordinate with authorities such as ITC, ADM, and Police for necessary traffic and road-related approvals.
- Follow up with authorities to ensure timely approval of all traffic-related submissions.
- Ensure approved traffic management drawings and schemes are implemented on site accurately and effectively.
- Conduct regular site inspections to verify compliance with approved plans and safety standards.
- Coordinate with construction teams to minimize traffic disruption and ensure public safety.
- Maintain proper documentation and records of submissions, approvals, and site implementation.
- Provide technical guidance and updates to project teams regarding traffic requirements and standards.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in traffic engineering or road infrastructure projects within the UAE (preferably in Abu Dhabi).
- Strong knowledge of the Abu Dhabi Traffic Management Manual (TMM) and relevant authority procedures.
- Proven experience in obtaining and managing ITC / ADM traffic approvals.
- Excellent coordination, communication, and documentation skills.
- Valid UAE Driving License preferred.
