Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor traffic signal operations continuously on a 24/7 rotational shift basis at DITSC.
  • Liaise with RTA management, internal departments, and external stakeholders to ensure operational continuity.
  • Conduct regular system checks with engineers and technicians, reporting all faults in station and field equipment.
  • Observe and manage tram intersections, pedestrian crossings, and surrounding junctions using Siemens Urban Traffic Control (UTC) and CCTV systems.
  • Detect, log, and escalate incidents or system faults affecting tram and road network operations.
  • Coordinate with RTA s Traffic Management Centre (TMC), Tram Operations Control Centre (OCC), and maintenance teams for timely issue resolution.
  • Maintain detailed event logs, incident reports, and service request records using Enterprise Maximo and Tram Maximo systems.
  • Follow up on outstanding service requests and verify closure within the approved Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Support on-site engineers and technicians in fault diagnosis, data collection, and rectification activities.
  • Provide operational guidance and knowledge sharing with RTA operators as required.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and quality management procedures during operations.

Desired Candidate Profile

Ideal Profile

  • Diploma in Traffic, Electrical, Electronics, or Communications Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, including at least 1 3 years in a similar traffic systems role.
  • Familiarity with Siemens UTC, CCTV monitoring systems, and traffic management operations.
  • Strong analytical and coordination skills with attention to operational detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both English and Arabic.
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to established control protocols.
