Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
The role of a Trainee Loss Adjuster involves desk-based and on-site investigation, evaluation, and management of insurance claims related to Natural Resources and Aviation cases. This role will require you to provide an efficient and high-quality claims handling service for various insurers. You will provide direct support to policy holders, and interview witnesses, whilst reporting to their Insurers in respect to the claim investigation findings.
You will initially be employed as a Trainee Loss Adjuster, with a view to become a fully-fledged Loss Adjuster as soon as possible. Charles Taylor will provide on-the-job training and mentorship, as well as financial subsidies and rewards for Loss Adjusting examinations and professional qualifications. This role provides a valuable opportunity to gain experience across both Natural Resources and Aviation claims, allowing you to shape your long-term career direction as you grow and develop your skills as an Adjuster.
Key Responsibilities
To perform a loss adjusting function in respect of new claims and those already handled in the offices which have been delegated by Senior Adjusters / Adjusters. This will involve, but not be limited to: -
Receiving and acknowledging new claims instructions
Managing and coordinating claims in a timely and professional manner
Assisting with on-site visits, meeting with Insurers, Reinsurers, Brokers, Claimants, Insureds and other interested parties
Attending accident sites for investigation
Assisting with preparation of preliminary reports commenting in detail on all aspects of the claim including legal and policy liability considerations, potential quantum and future actions
Assisting in providing instruction to surveyors, lawyers, forensic scientists and other experts as necessary
Assist in handling regular communication with all interested parties, calculations for interim payments, preparation of interim reports and other communications
Assisting with calculations, negotiations and agreements in the settlement of claims, and preparation of accurate final reports.
To assist in and develop the effective marketing of Charles Taylor Adjusting. This will include, but not be limited to: -
Developing working relationships with existing Clients
Helping to identify and plan approaches to new Clients
Hosting and attending networking events outside of office hours
Assisting in the preparation and delivery of presentations and tenders to Clients and potential Clients
Assisting other teams and the wider business with marketing activities
Carry out Ad Hoc duties and tasks that are allocated to you at the discretion of management and that are within your capabilities and within the scope of your post.

Desired Candidate Profile
Excellent English Language skills (written, spoken and aural)
University degree qualified, in Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering
Enthusiasm and commitment towards developing a career as a Loss Adjuster
0-3 years of relevant post-graduate experience, preferably in handling Insurance related matters.
Willing to undertake further professional study for Loss Adjusting certification
Able to travel for site inspections within Saudi Arabia and internationally.
Demonstrate a high level of interpersonal communication skills.
Strong focus on customer service excellence at all times
High attention to detail and analytical skills
Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
