Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Orchestrate and optimize transportation routes for cost-effectiveness and timely deliveries, utilizing advanced routing software and analytical skills.
- Negotiate and manage contracts with carriers, ensuring favorable rates and service levels while fostering strong, collaborative relationships.
- Monitor shipments proactively, identifying and resolving any issues such as delays or damage, to guarantee customer satisfaction and minimize disruptions.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams, including warehouse staff and sales, to ensure seamless logistics operations and information flow.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Possesses a High School Diploma or equivalent; a Bachelor's degree in Logistics or a related field is preferred.
- Demonstrates 2+ years of experience in transportation or logistics, showcasing a proven track record of success.
- Exhibits strong analytical skills, adept at interpreting data and identifying trends to optimize transportation strategies.
- Proficient in using transportation management systems (TMS), route planning software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
