Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Safely operate a heavy-duty truck while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations to ensure timely and accident-free deliveries.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections, identifying and reporting any vehicle issues to maintain optimal performance and safety standards.
- Manage and document delivery schedules, ensuring accuracy in mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times to meet customer expectations.
- Navigate using GPS technology and maps to determine the most efficient routes, factoring in road conditions and traffic patterns.
Desired Candidate Profile
- High school diploma or equivalent is required; additional certifications in transportation or logistics are a plus.
- A valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with endorsements specific to the type of truck being operated is essential.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in long-haul or regional trucking preferred, showcasing a strong driving record.
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELDs) and other transportation technology is highly beneficial.
