The UI / UX designer leads the visual design process in the creation of product and website user interfaces. The UI / UX designer may assume the role of lead designer, art director, copywriter and works with Senior Designer, Software Developer and user experience architects in the development of key deliverables that include directional concepts, production-ready artwork, navigation systems and style guides. In working with the management team and project members, the design team will produce detailed aesthetic layouts that define the specifications for style, size and position for the necessary pages elements/patterns. The UI / UX designer must understand the nuances and steer the relationship between aesthetics, usability, content strategy, front-end technologies and what it takes to connect it all to the very real implications of the platform.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate with other designers and peers and software developers by actively researching and sharing design best practices and trends, giving and soliciting feedback, and pro-actively working across disciplines to elevate the customer experience.
Brainstorm, research, wire-frame, design, and iterate user experiences within specified product requirements.
Deliver UI design within timeline constraints.
Deliver user interface recommendations in the form of documentation, wire-frames, mock-ups, and prototyping.
Develop functional and appealing user interfaces based on product usability.
Maintain graphic standards and branding throughout the products interface.
Constantly analyze usage patterns and reported issues and provide recommendations for user experience improvements.
Consistently apply user research methods to validate design ideas and direction.
Develop new approaches to complex interface and UX problems, and convey these designs in the form of presentations, prototypes, and design specifications.
Offer new ideas and solutions for the product design.
Review requirements and assists in identifying various usage scenarios and underlying user and business needs.
Leverage usability studies and various types of validation activities (observational testing, surveys, software usage telemetry analysis) to understand customer behavior, refine design approaches, and validate solutions
Design Software and Platforms
Proficient in the latest creative software (Photoshop, Sketch, Marvel, Zeplin, Illustrator, XD and Acrobat).
Proficient in the of delivery production-ready web graphics
Peripheral knowledge of wireframe/prototyping software.
Working knowledge of ecommerce design and platforms in B2B environment for Supply Chain and Logistics, e-Finance and e-Insurance will be highly desirable.
Strong presentation and communication skills (both written and verbal).
Effectively prepares presentations for design reviews. Clearly articulates thoughts; design strategies, decisions, trade-offs, and is able to effectively and persuasively present work.
Instills confidence, dependability and leadership (of yourself) among team members and with the management.

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or Business Administration.
5 years of website design experience.
Portfolio Website, Resume and Professional References.
Proficient in online e-Commerce, B2B, or B2C experiences.
