Underwriting Assistant - Crisis Management

While there is rarely a 'typical' day as an Underwriting Assistant, here's a snapshot of some of the key parts of the job:

• Prepare policy and claims data for Underwriters, adhering to internal procedures, policy and timescale, to quote for forthcoming year
• Production of policy documents and certificates for all new business and renewals debiting written adhering to internal procedures and policy, within stated timescales
• Updating policies, producing new certificates and endorsements/schedules to meet individual client needs.
• Conduct accuracy checks on the work of other Underwriting Assistants / Assistant Underwriters
• Administration and housekeeping duties including structure of files, scanning, quote logging etc.
• Assist with the collection and reconciliation of premiums
• Assisting with sanctions checking and client due diligence.

What you'll need:

• Previous experience in a similar Underwriting Assistant position is required
• Exposure to Political Violence or Political Risk would be desirable but will consider applicants from other lines of business
• Be familiar with MS Office Excel
