This IB World School is accredited with CIS and is a member of the BSME. It operates the IB curriculum alongside the National curriculum for England and Wales. Role specific requirements:
check and provide feedback for students on personal statements and common app essays
utilise the platform 'Bridge U', host university fairs and provide university and application workshops
assess students grades, interests, abilities and skills and relate these to opportunities for further study and career pathways
analyse data through the tracking and monitoring IB students' predicted grades
contribute to the curriculum by developing the careers programme year 7- IB and deliver assemblies and present during options and careers evenings
provide CPD for staff members in order for them to provide effective references and to also strengthen the IB tutor support. It is essential to develop relationships with national and international universities and to conduct research on opportunities for students
possess a high level of communication and listening skills in order to conduct interviews with students from year 9 in order to provide individual comprehensive information and guidance
to develop and foster positive relationships with students which are non-judgmental and empathetic
to produce transcripts and meet with parents and students
preferably, will be able to offer a teaching subject to IB level
Qualification Requirements: BA in the subject area along with a teacher training certification OR Bachelor of Education in the teaching subject. National curriculum experience from England and Wales or IBDP experience is preferred - you should definitely have experience to A level or DP level. This school is seeking teachers who are enthusiastic, flexible team players who can offer strengths beyond their professional skill set.
