Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Assess furniture condition, identifying repair needs and recommending appropriate solutions, ensuring optimal restoration.
Precisely measure, cut, and sew fabric, leather, or other materials to fit furniture frames, demonstrating meticulous attention to detail.
Apply padding, springs, and webbing to frames, ensuring structural integrity and comfort, showcasing expertise in furniture construction.
Employ a variety of hand tools and machinery, including sewing machines and staple guns, to expertly complete upholstery projects.
Desired Candidate Profile
High school diploma or equivalent, providing a foundational understanding of craftsmanship.
Completion of a vocational upholstery program or apprenticeship, demonstrating a commitment to the trade.
Certification in upholstery or related fields, showcasing specialized skills and knowledge.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in the upholstery industry, showcasing practical expertise and problem-solving abilities.
