Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced UPS Technician to join our team for operations and support at a data center facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in UPS installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting, with hands-on experience in leading UPS brands such as APC, Riello, Huawei, GE, and Eaton.
Key Responsibilities:
• Install, test, commission, and maintain UPS systems (single-phase and three-phase). • Diagnose and repair faults in UPS equipment and electrical systems. • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance as per service schedules. • Monitor UPS performance and conduct battery testing, replacement, and configuration. • Coordinate with OEMs and vendors for support and spare part procurement. • Maintain proper documentation, service reports, and logbooks. • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and electrical standards. • Provide support for data center power infrastructure, including electrical panels and cabling. • Assist in electrical system installations and upgrades within the facility.
Desired Candidate Profile
• Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. • Minimum 4 years of experience in the UAE as a UPS Technician. • Hands-on experience with APC, Riello, Huawei, GE, Eaton UPS systems is mandatory. • Strong knowledge of electrical wiring, load distribution, and system protection. • Familiar with battery banks, load testing, and site power assessments. • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics. • Good communication skills in English (spoken and written). • UAE Driving License is an advantage.
Preferred Qualifications:
• OEM Certifications (APC, Riello, etc.) • DEWA/SEWA/ADDC electrical license (if applicable) • Basic knowledge of UPS, Generators, BMS/ATS systems
