A Vehicle Mechanic plays a pivotal role in ensuring the safety, functionality, and reliability of various vehicles through regular maintenance and repair work. Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to assess repair and maintenance needs.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes and brake inspections efficiently.
• Repair or replace damaged vehicle components including engines, transmissions, and exhaust systems.
• Maintain and update records of service and repair activities for each vehicle handled.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and environmental regulations during automotive service procedures.
• Collaborate with other technicians and team members to ensure timely completion of work.
• Provide detailed explanations to customers about vehicle issues and suggested repair solutions.
• Estimate costs and time needed for repair work to provide accurate service quotes to clients.
• Continuously update skills and knowledge through training and workshops on latest automotive technologies.
• Ensure cleanliness of the work area and proper disposal of waste materials.
• Assist in inventory management and ordering parts as required for specific repairs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is required for this position.
• Formal training or certification in automotive technology or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in vehicle maintenance and repair.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and tools for vehicle inspection and repair.
• Strong understanding of vehicle systems including engines, brakes, transmission, and electrics.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve vehicle issues.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with customers and explaining technical details.
