Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Diagnose complex vehicle issues using advanced diagnostic tools and software to ensure accurate repairs and maintenance.
Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, brake inspections, and tire rotations, to enhance vehicle performance and safety.
Conduct thorough inspections of vehicle systems, such as engines, transmissions, and electrical components, to identify potential problems before they escalate.
Replace or repair defective parts using precision tools, ensuring that all repairs comply with industry standards and manufacturer specifications.
Maintain detailed records of all services performed, parts used, and recommendations for future repairs to uphold transparency with clients.
Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques through continuous education and training to offer cutting-edge solutions.
Collaborate with other mechanics and technicians to troubleshoot complex issues and share knowledge for improved service delivery.
Communicate effectively with clients to explain repairs and maintenance needs in layman's terms, fostering trust and satisfaction.
Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working in the shop to maintain a secure working environment for all staff.
Manage time efficiently to meet tight deadlines and ensure that all customer vehicles are serviced promptly and effectively.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and tools, including OBD-II scanners and hydraulic lifts, is crucial for effective troubleshooting.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle electrical systems, including wiring diagrams and circuit testing, to address electrical malfunctions.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment, demonstrating strong collaboration and communication skills with colleagues.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to handle the demands of the job, including lifting heavy parts and working in confined spaces.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills to accurately diagnose issues and implement effective repairs.
- Fluency in English is required; additional language skills can be advantageous to communicate with diverse clients.
- A valid driver's license is essential to test drive vehicles post-repair and ensure they are roadworthy.
