We are currently recruiting a Vice Principal to join the team. During the initial development phase, there will be a need to undertake specific responsibilities and tasks in readiness for completing the final leadership structure in September 2018. A January 2019 start is also possible for the right candidate.
Duties and responsibilities of this role will be:
To embody the values, vision and ethos of School of Digital Futures and assist the CEO/Principal in formulating policy which will ensure high quality and successful outcomes
To be positive role leadership models and drive transformational change across all teams of staff
To support the development of the School in becoming the most innovative digital school provider both locally and internationally
To support the CEO and Principal in leading the key strategic objectives for the School through formulating and leading on all aspects of the school improvement plan
To be fully accountable for all aspects of the work of primary/secondary providing analytical comment on performance measured against a number of key performance indicators
To be responsible for strategic curriculum modelling, development and implementation to ensure that the needs of all students are met through digital competency-led approaches and appropriate learning pathways
To be responsible for the organisation and delivery of teaching across the School ensuring efficient and effective staff deployment and, with the CEO and Principal, recruitment of well qualified and high quality staff
To place the school at the cutting edge of research, policy and practice in the transformation of teaching and learning
To lead on Inspection preparation and SEF processes
To be responsible for the monitoring, evaluation and continuous review of the quality and effectiveness of curriculum delivery across the school, with particular reference to SEN, Gifted and Talented, and PSHCE programmes
To support the work of the Assistant Principals across the school
To ensure that all staff are supported with high quality continuous professional development and training which contributes to the development and achievements of the School as a genuine learning institution
Participate in Performance Management arrangements for all staff within the School
Maintain awareness and knowledge of contemporary trends, developments, theory and methods in the transformation of teaching and learning within the School.
To carry out any other reasonable duties as directed by the CEO
Applicants should have:
Significant experience within Primary
Qualified Teacher Status
NPQH (enrolled or equivalent within next 2 years)
Proven skills in senior leadership
Commitment to promote and support the vision, values and ethos of the School
Evidence of significant and continued professional development
Evidence of innovation leading to raised standards and improved student and staff motivation
Knowledge and understanding of the competency-led learning
Knowledge and understanding of what constitutes high quality educational provision and how to secure it within the School
Evidence of successful delivery against targets
Possess drive, enthusiasm, determination and boundless energy to improve the life chances and experiences of students
Generate high expectations, enthusiasm and commitment from staff
Maintain a sense of humour and proportion whilst working under pressure
Display a genuine love of learning and care for students
